Spreadin the baseball news with Larry
We are partnering with Larry to talk about the great things about baseball, the great things about Taiwan and the great things about Taiwanese baseball.
Larry’s Bio
Larry Delson has been a baseball fan his entire life. Being a native New Yorker, he grew up rooting for the Yankees. His father used to be Yankees season-ticket holder for decades. He took him to the game in which Mickey Mantle hit his 500th home run. He has seen many memorable (and many meaningless) games over the decades, in person and on tv.
He has lived in and travelled to Taiwan for more than 40 times. In fact, on his very first trip to Taiwan, he delayed his departure so he could watch the Yankees versus the Dodgers in the World Series.

#1 Introduction
#1 In the first episode, I'm going to introduce myself. I'm a die-hard baseball fan, a professor, and a business man, but I always introduce myself as a baseball fan only. I've been a baseball for my entire life. I've been lived and travelled to Taiwan for more than 40-50 times, I even went to Tianmu Stadium to watch the CPBL game. I wakes up early to watch CPBL every day, which I think is the new normal for American baseball fans. I will talk about CPBL based on my perspective during the show. I'm particularly fond of Chu Yu-Hsien from Rakuten Monkeys.
He will have a great swing, I believe for Yankees Stadium!
This is just the introduction, I will look more about the CPBL's teams, players based on an American fan's perspective. Please share your thoughts with me, and comment below for what's topic you would like me to talk more?
#02 The Differences Between American Baseball & Taiwanese Baseball?
#2 The Differences Between American Baseball & Taiwanese Baseball In the second episode, I'm going to talk about the differences between North American baseball and baseball in Taiwan. My friends here in the States, we are wondering how come there is so much hitting in Taiwan, at least in the first 10 days or so of the schedule? What’s going on here? We sort of illustrate some of the differences between baseball and Taiwan and baseball in the States. I found out the difference including : pitching styles, imaginary strike zone, challenge, broadcasters, hit and run and burning. If you notice something, please comment below and share it with me. Thank you!
#3 Rakuten Monkeys- CPBL (Taiwan)
#3 In the third episode, I'm going to talk about the Rakuten Monkeys. Before I start, just want to share that last weekend, The CPBL officially allowed 1000 fans for each game. Baseball season is back in Taiwan!!! The Rakuten Monkeys, they're off to a good start, and really tearing up the league thanks all those hitters. I will talk about several players including my guy Chu Yu-hsien, Su Chun-Chang, Lin-Li, Chen Chun-Hsiu and Lan Yin-Lun. Hope you all will like it. If you have some comments I hope you will leave them. Thank you!
